The young and talented editor of The Emergency Charlie Pennell was featured in AxcessNews this weekend where he shared his creative journey into the world of sound and images.
Based in London, UK, Charlie Pennell told AxcessNews that he had a childhood passion for music and the first skills he learned were in music production/sound engineering. It was later that he embraced video editing as a hobby.
Talking about his work on The Emergency, Pennell said it was a new kind of project for him as he doesn’t usually get the opportunity to work on footage shot in green screen. In his words:
I was also able to pick up extra details of knowledge in that process. The overall project was great to be a part of.
The Emergency was shot in Australia in the second week of May, edited in London, and premiered in September over the startup channel Station 6 on Roku and Amazon Fire TV where it is shown on Sunday and Tuesday evenings.
